Sajari is searching for a technical recruiter to help us with the continued rapid growth of our Sydney team. This is a great opportunity to help us continue to build the foundational people-oriented culture at Sajari that we value within a fast-paced startup environment.

Sajari is also a recent sign-up to the Project F 50-50 program, which we see as critical to our long-term success as we grow as a company.

While reporting to our Head of Operations, this role will also work closely with both the Engineering and Product teams to provide the steady pipeline of talent we need for growth.

Your job primarily is to help us hire the best people. However, this is a startup, not a large company with well-defined practices and processes, part of your role is to also own and define the recruiting process from sourcing all the way to the hiring of top talent. So you will definitely need to thrive in an environment with some ambiguity, and comfortable in helping to build and grow our talent and people function, which is key to Sajari’s culture and growth.

What you’ll be doing

An average day may include some of these:

  • Working closely with hiring managers to help define role profiles that align with current market trends and secure us the top talent we are searching for
  • Giving our potential candidates an experience where they want to work for us.
  • Helping to define and grow our onboard experience so we are setting up our new hires for success.
  • Provide timely updates and clear communication throughout the interview process, where needed, to hiring managers
  • Assist in the coordination of other recruiting and HR operations-related activities as needed

What we would love to see

  • 3+ years of recruiting or HR experience in the Australian market, startup experience is a major plus
  • Experience sourcing and closing positions ranging from junior to management positions
  • You are curious to dig deeper beyond the surface level of a job profile, understanding Sajari closely to make sure we don’t let good candidates go that might be a fit elsewhere within the business.
  • You know how to scale … we are a growing startup, we need to build repeatable processes but at the same time don’t want to create unnecessary administration overhead.

While the first few years were focused on enabling companies to create smart search experiences for their websites, our next horizon is to do the same in the e-commerce space and beyond.
